One more

“One more”

No other game has made me speak those words in my entire gaming career. It may not be my favorite or the best game of all time but Fortnite (a free-to-play battle royale game available on console and PC) has captured my free time unlike any other video game.

Fortnite: Cultural Phenomenon

Over the past half of a year, Fortnite has essentially taken over people’s lives. From the countless and endless generation of memes to sharing war stories – I was waiting in a doctor’s office and two children basically became friends once they mentioned Fortnite to one another – to breaking Twitch records, no game has had such an effect in such a short amount of time.

Even further, no other game has put me in a waitlist queue like I’m outside of a club.

And I waited.

What’s next

My personality is a bit obsessive in the sense that if I’m going to do something, I like to do it to the best of my ability. When I see flaws or shortcomings, I try to correct those. Fortnite has presented a great opportunity to share this growth with a group of my friends.  Being over-the-top critical of every game we play, often replaying individual and squad decisions in my head as I sleep or the next day at work, I decided alongside Fred to begin sharing these thoughts with the rest of the world.

As the website’s name implies, we don’t claim to be any better than you. You may learn something or you may share something that we may learn from. Who knows, this might create some kind of community of like-minded people who are self-reflective and in the pursuit of their own personal excellence.

A love of all games

While Fortnite is still the flavor of the week month year, we will mostly be focused on that; but, as new games come out (I’m looking at you Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last of Us 2), we will cover those and general gaming topics on a regular basis.
