Today’s Gaming News Roundup
For all the Stars Wars fans out there, May 4th is a fantastic day each year. This year was no different as we got some free Star Wars gaming content. Check out the details and more gaming news from yesterday!
This game has 100 endings, and it’s pushing the creators to the brink of bankruptcy

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy’s ambition might spell one final ending for a promising studio. In response to a post asking for additional translations (the game is currently only available in English, Japanese, and Chinese) or potential PlayStation and Xbox ports, Kodaka responds “If I can pay off my debt early and secure enough operating funds for the company, I’d love to get started right away. But as someone who’s over 50 hours into this absurd thing with no end in sight, I can only imagine that this was produced in a Dwarf Fortress-esque fugue state.”
I’d estimate it at 80% words and 20% action. The first 30 hours are a linear rollercoaster ride of plot twists, revelations, and boss battles. In 50-plus hours, there were three distinct endings.
In Noisy Pixel’s video review, they let slip that to reach 100% completion, it took over 130 hours to see it all, even with the game letting you skip familiar battles when hopping through potential plot branches. The Hundred Line is out and on Steam for $60/£50.
May the 4th brings free and discounted Star Wars games from Prime Gaming, Steam, and more

May the 4th be with you—and your game library, since you can pick up a slew of Star Wars games for free or at a huge discount today, including Star Wars Outlaws, Jedi: Survivor, Lego Star Wars, and more. Survivor got a whopping 80% discount, bringing it down to just $13. You can also snag titles for less than $10, like Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Wars Squadrons, LEGO Skywalker Saga, Star Wars Republic Commando, Knights of the Old Republic, and more.
This Doom-themed Harley Davidson is the most metal game collab I’ve seen since The Dark Ages

Serrat’s chargin’ his headlight. In what may be the most metal crossover ever, Bethesda has teamed up with Harley-Davidson in creating an incredible one-of-a-kind Doom motorcycle. The bike takes its inspiration from the hellishly good series, Doom, in this case, Doom: The Dark Ages; A medieval take on the demonic devastation of Earth.
Really, a motorbike might be the perfect companion for a game that has “the best gore in the industry”. Of course, it’s important to be as safe as possible while riding this demon bike from hell, so safety gear is a must. It’ll be even harder to get than this Doom-themed Asus RTX 5080.
This is a unique bike, and the only way to get it is to drop by the launch event at Culture Kings on George Street, Sydney, Australia, on Friday, 16th May 2025, from 7 pm-9 pm AEST.
The Last Of Us Season Two, Episode Four Recap

This episode opens with a flashback to 2018, roughly 15 years after the outbreak begins in the show’s timeline.
As Ellie looks inside a molded-over tank, she finds burnt bodies and says it’s like the Apollo 1 disaster, as she gets to flex her astronaut knowledge. And as the general public has become more aware of what’s happening in Palestine in the years since Part II released, it’s become impossible to reconcile the game’s, and now the show’s, fictional war, which we’re meant to believe both sides are equally complicit in perpetuating, with the real-world conflict that inspired it. HBO’s version of the cordyceps isn’t spread in the air through spores, and Ellie’s immunity was revealed without any room for doubt in the games because she was able to breathe in the fumes without it affecting her respiratory system.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Director Came Up With The Game While Bored At Ubisoft

Boredom can be productive, apparently. At least it was for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 director Guillaume Broche, who first dreamed about creating the critically acclaimed RPG while “bored in their job” at Ubisoft in 2020. BBC reports Broche then started looking “to do something different” while working at the French company known for Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance, and Splinter Cell.
But then she transitioned to serving as the lead writer 33. Obviously, the rest is history, as came out a couple of weeks ago and quickly sold 1 million copies. The RPG is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S–and it’s part of the Game Pass library.
Yes, The Last Of Us Had A Famous Nickelodeon Star On The Latest Episode

The newest episode of HBO’s The Last of Us featured an unexpected guest star, and now we know how this person came to appear on the show and the backstory of their biggest bit of dialogue. This story contains spoilers for Season 2. To begin with, yes, that was Nickelodeon star Josh Peck from Drake & Josh and The Amanda Show who appeared at the beginning of Episode 4 playing a FEDRA soldier in a flashback scene set in 2018.
Speaking to Variety, Peck said he is a “wimp” and couldn’t bring himself to watch 1 right away. When he auditioned for his role in Season 2, he said he didn’t expect to hear back. There are three episodes left in 2, but fans needn’t worry, as HBO has already announced Season 3.

Marvel posts the big Avengers-related spoiler for Thunderbolts after decent box office weekend

Just like theatrical release windows have condensed from months to weeks, so has the spoiler timeline. Only a few short years ago, a giant like Marvel Studios begged fans to keep quiet on a post-release Monday about reveals in a movie like Avengers: Endgame. Now, for Thunderbolts, it’s part of the week 2 box-office strategy. Thunderbolts made $76 million in its opening weekend — a strong start to a team-up movie that’s essentially a sequel to one of Disney’s COVID-era blockbusters and a bunch of Disney Plus TV shows, but a weaker start for a kick-off-the-summer Marvel movie.
