Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 Patch Notes: Elsa Bloodstone, Big Buffs, and a Fantastic Four Breakup

It’s Valentine’s weekend, and NetEase is dropping presents early. Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 lands on February 13th, and it’s bringing a brand-new hero, a pile of balance changes, some wild Team-Up shakeups, and yes, a literal in-game wedding parade. Let’s get into it.

Elsa Bloodstone Joins the Roster

The big headline here is Elsa Bloodstone, a new Duelist hero built around monster hunting. She’s carrying an elephant gun (yes, really) and her whole kit revolves around building up an “Instinct” meter through dealing damage, which lowers her cooldowns the more aggressive she plays.

She’s got a trap ability that stuns enemies, so she’s not just running and gunning. Think of her as a front-line disruptor who rewards you for staying in the fight.

But the real showstopper is her ultimate: she summons a giant monster called Glartox that just plows through the enemy team. If you’ve been wanting a Duelist that feels different from the typical aim-and-shoot characters, Elsa looks like she fills that gap.

She’s also immediately getting a Team-Up with Deadpool and Jeff the Land Shark, which gives her an ability called Bloodstone’s Boombox Bullets. That lets her deal damage to enemies and heal herself at the same time. So she’s coming in hot with synergies already baked in.

The Winners: Who Got Buffed

A few heroes are eating real good this patch.

Wolverine got the biggest gift. His ultimate energy cost dropped from 3,400 to 2,800. That’s a massive reduction. You’re going to see Last Stand way more often now, and if you’re not already respecting a Wolverine who’s been alive for a while, start.

Storm is getting a full rework of her Weather Control abilities. Using Wind Blade and Bolt Rush under her Tornado aura now gives her Bonus Health. Her Thunder aura reduces Bolt Rush cooldown on Wind Blade hits. And her ally buffs now decay over 2 seconds after leaving the aura instead of just vanishing. That last change alone is huge for team fights. The trade-off? Her ally Damage Boost dropped from 12% to 8%.

Adam Warlock can fly now. Not kidding. He gets a new flight mode at 10m/s for up to 4 seconds, and he can hover and attack during Soul Bond. If you play Adam, your positioning just got infinitely better.

Rogue is getting more aggressive tools, too. Her energy conversion rate from Defensive Stance went up from 0.27 to 0.35, and Fatal Attraction cooldown dropped from 17s to 14s. She’s going to be picking fights a lot more.

Venom quietly got a base health bump from 650 to 675, and his ultimate now converts more damage to Bonus Health. Nothing flashy, but that extra durability adds up.

A few other nice bumps: Star-Lord and Punisher both got ultimate cost reductions, Squirrel Girl got a faster projectile speed on uncharged Squirrel Blockade, Deadpool heals more off his ult, and Ultron’s drone range increased from 30m to 35m.

The Losers: Who Got Nerfed

Nobody got destroyed, but a few heroes got reality checks.

Moon Knight loses some of his tankiness. The Bonus Max Health from Moon Blade drops from 100 to 75. You’ll feel that in extended fights.

Phoenix lost 25 base health, going from 275 to 250. She was already fragile, and this makes her even more vulnerable if you catch her out of position.

Psylocke got a double tap. Her Psionic Crossbow damage falloff at 30m went from 60% to 70% (so she does more damage at range, actually), but her ultimate Dance of the Butterfly got its per-hit damage reduced from 170 to 160. Net result: she’s a bit less scary when she pops ult.

Doctor Strange (Vanguard) takes a small hit with his Shield of the Seraphim recovery speed dropping from 70/s to 60/s.

Loki lost two Mystical Missile charges, going from 12 to 10. That’s a noticeable reduction in his poke game.

Invisible Woman gets a cooldown increase on Force Physics from 8s to 10s. Two extra seconds feel small on paper, but matter a lot when you’re trying to chain crowd control.

Thor is a mixed bag. His Hammer Throw now grants 50 Bonus Health on hit, but Storm Surge Bonus Health dropped from 75 to 50. So he’s trading some passive durability for active play reward.

Team-Up Abilities: Big Shakeups

This is where things get spicy.

The Fantastic Four Team-Up has been removed. That’s right. Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben no longer have their shared synergy. NetEase says they’re “taking a break,” but for now, the iconic four-stack bonus is gone. If your comp relied on this, time to adjust.

But the roster isn’t just losing Team-Ups. It’s gaining new connections.

Doctor Strange and Invisible Woman now share a new Team-Up called Psionic Mayhem. Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness can pull enemies toward him and grant health to nearby allies based on damage dealt. That’s a really strong combo for grouped-up team fights.

The Thing joins the Gamma Charge Team-Up with Hulk and Black Panther, getting boosted attack range and bonus health.

Mister Fantastic slots into the Rocket Network Team-Up with Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord, gaining the Fantastic Amplifier ability that lets him exceed his Elasticity cap of 100.

So the Fantastic Four didn’t just lose their Team-Up. They got redistributed across other squads. Smart move by NetEase to keep those heroes relevant without the crutch of a four-hero synergy.

Valentine’s Day and Spring Festival Events

Because this patch drops the day before Valentine’s Day, NetEase is going all out on the love theme.

Love on Parade brings free units and a wedding parade for Gambit and Rogue to Times Square. If you’ve shipped these two since the ’90s cartoon, this is your moment.

There’s also a Spring Festival event where you can log in for currency rewards while Lin Lie (Iron Fist) performs a lion dance. Free stuff just for logging in. Can’t argue with that.

What This Means for You

If you’re a casual player who just wants to hop on and have fun, the good news is that several underplayed heroes got meaningful buffs. Wolverine, Storm, and Adam Warlock all feel like they’ll be more fun to play after this patch. The Elsa Bloodstone addition gives you a new Duelist option that isn’t just another aim-dependent carry.

If you’re more competitive, the Team-Up changes are the real story. The Fantastic Four removal forces new compositions, and the new Doctor Strange/Invisible Woman pairing could become a staple in organized play.

And honestly? A patch dropping on Valentine’s weekend with an in-game wedding parade is just a fun touch. Marvel Rivals continues to be one of those games that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that’s exactly why it keeps pulling me back in.
