Monster Hunter Wilds Introduces New Gyro Controls: A Game Changer for Disabled and Abled-Bodied Players
Source: PC Gamer – March 14, 2025
Despite the somewhat overwhelming array of menus, Monster Hunter Wilds stands out as one of the most accessible games in recent years. To give you some context: I live with Klumpke’s Palsy, a condition that has resulted in my right hand becoming limp and imprecise, making rapid or complex inputs incredibly challenging. Over time, I’ve found solace in features like gyro aim, macros, and controllers with extra paddles. While these elements can often be integrated into modern PC games via Steam Input, having native support for customizable control options eliminates awkward conflicts and typically paves the way for a smoother gaming experience.

Unprecedented Discount on the Remarkable Doom 2016
Source: PC Gamer – March 15, 2025
Doom 2016 is now available for less than two dollars. Id’s exceptional reimagining of their iconic 1993 FPS is presently up for grabs at a whopping 90% discount during Steam’s spring sale. The original RRP of £15.99/$19.99 has been significantly reduced to just £1.59 in the UK, or less than two dollars in the US, making it one of the best deals you could find. Doom 2016 stands out as one of the finest single-player shooters in the last decade, breathing new life into id’s game-changing franchise with its commanding and intensely aggressive gameplay. It departs from the more scripted, narrative-driven approach of Doom 3 (which would have continued in the cancelled Doom 4) to focus on fluid movement and mechanics. This is epitomized in its innovative glory-kill system, where executing enemies brutally replenishes your health, fueling the relentless action.

Explore the Massive Coriolis Storms in Dune Awakening’s Latest Trailer
Source: PC Gamer – March 15, 2025
While I thought I had a solid understanding of Dune Awakening, having immersed myself in the survival MMO’s overarching concepts, it was only recently that I saw the bigger picture. I was aware of its colossal sandworms and their independence, and the thrilling air-to-air ornithopter combat. However, it wasn’t until recently that I fully grasped how these elements intertwined. Sony Set to Produce Both Helldivers 2 and a New Starship Troopers Movie, the Latter Not Based on the Existing Film
Source: PC Gamer – March 14, 2025
It appears there may be some confusion on the horizon as Deadline reports that Sony has announced two movie projects. In addition to the Helldivers 2 movie announced in January, they are also developing a new Starship Troopers movie, set to be directed by Neil Blomkamp. However, the upcoming film will not be a reinterpretation of the 1997 Starship Troopers film, which heavily influences the Helldivers 2 storyline. Instead, it will return to the roots of the 1959 sci-fi novel by Robert Heinlein. Starship Troopers—both the novel and the 1997 film—chronicle the journey of Johnny Rico, a soldier in a militaristic future society battling enormous extraterrestrial insects. While the 1997 film by Paul Verhoeven was a stark satire of fascism (an aspect often overlooked at the time), the novel is sometimes seen as promoting the very same ideology.
