Niantic Inc. has officially announced the sale of Pokémon Go, Pikmin Bloom, Monster Hunter Now, along with their respective development teams, to the Saudi-owned Monopoly Go! creator for $3.5 billion. An extra $350 million cash from Niantic is also included in the agreement, making the total value of the deal approximately $3.85 billion for Niantic equity holders. In their announcement, Scopely, a subsidiary of Saudi investment firm Savvy Games, reported that the Niantic gaming division boasts over 30 million monthly active users (MAUs), above 20 million weekly active players, and generated over $1 billion in revenue in 2024.
