How to Carry as Support in Marvel Rivals (My Data Proved Me Wrong)

A few weeks ago I sat at 4,761 rating in Marvel Rivals. Celestial starts at 4,800. Thirty-nine points. Two wins. I’m writing this at 4,579, which is 221 points away and exactly one loss from dropping a tier. I gave back 182 rating in about three weeks, and the worst part is that none of it happened because I got worse at the game. If you main support and you’ve watched a climb evaporate like that, you already know the feeling I’m about to describe. The Thing I Couldn’t Name My whole ranked career looks the same. Four or five games a night, Strategist locked, Grandmaster by the end of every season like clockwork. Never past it. A few seasons back I hit Celestial without breaking a sweat by one-tricking Magik, where I felt like I decided games. Win rate north of 60%, still carrying in Celestial lobbies. Then I went back to support and turned into a guy who plays well, posts a great scoreboard, and waits to find out whether his team is going to win. I could feel the problem but I couldn’t describe it. My aim was fine. My positioning was fine. I wasn’t dying stupidly. In GM lobbies I could tell I was one of the better players in the server.
