Indie Developer Pulls Game From Xbox Stores in Support of Pro-Palestine Boycott

Source: Rock Paper Shotgun – April 23, 2025

Tenderfoot Tactics, a dreamy turn-based indie game that captured many hearts upon its release, is no longer available on the Xbox Store. However, it can still be found on Steam for those interested. The game’s removal from Microsoft’s storefronts comes as a response to the BDS boycott of Microsoft, prompted by the company’s alleged ties to the Israeli military. The development team chose to delist their game in support of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions campaign led by Palestine. Review of Old Skies

Source: Eurogamer – April 23, 2025

Wadjet Eye, the acclaimed point-and-click studio, has crafted a gently paced, time-travelling game that perfectly blends elegant puzzles with intricate and moving storytelling. Adopting the famous quote from a renowned poet, “No man is an island, entire of itself”, the game explores the concept of existence in a world of temporal uncertainty. The player becomes a single, unmoving point in a constantly changing ocean where everything familiar can suddenly vanish or, even worse, never have existed. In such a world devoid of constants or connections, it begs the question, who are you and who might you become?

The details of Old Skies are as follows:

Developer: Wadjet Eye Games

Publisher: Wadjet Eye Games

Platform: Played on PC (Steam)

Availability: Released on 23rd April on PC (Steam, GOG), with a later release on Switch.

Why The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remains Relevant Despite Skyrim’s Popularity

Source: Eurogamer – April 22, 2025

Emperor Uriel Septim VII regards me with an unwarranted confidence, given that only ten minutes have passed since he orchestrated my escape from his own prison. His gaze remains fixed even as he is felled by an assassin’s blade moments later. Uriel’s final words echo in my ears during my subsequent visit to the Imperial City, striking not for their ominous import, but for their irony.
